Senator Honasan confident FOI will become a law

MANILA, Philippines—Senator Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan said early Wednesday on Radyo Inquirer he is confident the Freedom of Information (FOI) bill will be passed into law very soon.

“I hope before the next State of the Nation Address…this will become a law,” he told co-anchors Susan K, Den Macaranas and Captain Dylan Halili.

He tackled the benefits of the FOI to various sectors and a few difficulties surrounding the passage of the bill, especially at the House of Representatives.
