MANILA, Philippines — Heavy traffic can be seen in some parts of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) on Sunday afternoon due to a road crash, according to NLEx Corporation.

In its traffic update as of 2 p.m., NLEx Corporation said that approximately 10 to 20 kilometers per hour (kph) traffic build-up is observed in Marilao to Lingunan, Valenzuela southbound due to a road crash that occupies the leftmost and middle lanes (lanes 1 and 2).

NLEx Corporation said that patrol and emergency response teams are currently being deployed in the area. It added that counterflow is open from Meycauayan Interchange to Balintawak.

Meanwhile, approximately 10 to 30 kph of traffic build-up is seen in NLEx Harbor link interchange to Lingunan, Valenzuela northbound due to a previous road crash and leftmost lane (lane 1) being used as a counterflow.

On the other hand, light traffic is expected in other areas of NLEx – Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway – NLEx Connector including toll plazas and interchanges. /mr
