MANILA, Philippines – Four suspected drug traders, including two minors, were arrested in a pre-dawn buy-bust operation in Pasay City Wednesday, a Southern Police spokesperson said.
Superintendent Jenny Tecson said the suspects, who were allegedly involved in small-time drug trading, were arrested along Beechcraft Street, Don Carlos in Pasay City.
Tecson said the operation was conducted by Southern Police District’s Anti-illegal Drug following an information from a concerned citizen on the alleged proliferation of illegal drug trade in the area.
Recovered from the suspects were three sachets of suspected shabu worth P2,000, a pipe and small sachet containing dried maijuana leaves of undetermined quantity and amount, and a P500 buy-bust money.
Follow-up operation is now underway for possible arrest of other suspected drug traders, Tecson said.
