In its morning forecast, the state weather bureau reported that cloud clusters brought by the southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, will prevail over many parts of the country.

Pagasa said cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms were observed in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan in Luzon; as well as in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Soccsksargen (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, and General Santos City), and the Davao Region in Mindanao.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms—also due to the habagat—are expected over the rest of the country on Monday./mcm
