Floods hit Metro Manila streets after heavy rains – MMDA

MANILA, Philippines — Several streets in Metro Manila have been experiencing floods on Saturday evening due to heavy rains, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.
Below is the flood situation in the following areas as of 6:47 p.m., according to the MMDA:
Quezon City
- EDSA NB, after Quezon Ave. flyover; Half Gutter Deep — Passable to all types of vehicles
- Quezon Ave. Biak na bato EB and WB; Waist Deep — Not passable to light vehicles
- EDSA NB, Balintawak; Gutter Deep — Passable to all types of vehicles
- G. Araneta Ave. Karilaya SB/NB; Knee Deep — Not passable to light vehicles
Caloocan City
- C3 NLEX Connector Intersection; Kneep Deep — Not passable to light vehicles
Manila City
- España Lacson to Vicente Cruz EB/WB; Kneep Deep — Not passable to light vehicles
- España Blvd corner Antipolo Street; 26 inches; Not passable to all types of vehicles
Malabon City
- M.H. del Pilar, Brgy. Tinajeros; (gutter deep) — Passable to all types of vehicles
- Gov. Pascual Avenue, Brgy Acacia; (gutter deep) — Passable to all types of vehicles
Valenzuela City
- McArthur Highway near Fatima University; ankle deep — Passable to all types of vehicles
Based on Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa)’s 4:37 p.m. thunderstorm advisory, intense to torrential rain showers with lightning and strong are being experienced in the areas of Metro Manila, such as Quezon City, Manila, Caloocan, Valenzuela, Malabon, Navotas, Muntinlupa, Marikina, Mandaluyong, and San Juan.
