Cavite drug sting yields P1.36-M shabu, 1 arrest

MANILA, Philippines — A buy-bust operation in Cavite led to the confiscation of suspected shabu (crystal meth) valued at P1.36 million and the arrest of one individual, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.
The drug sting took place late Friday night in Barangay Mambog 5 in Bacoor City, PDEA detailed in a statement on Saturday.
Authorities confiscated 200 grams of suspected shabu during the operation.
PDEA identified the suspect as 32-year-old Bacoor-based mechanic “Geoffrey.”

The suspect is under the custody of the PDEA Calabarzon office, awaiting a case for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act. /jpv
