PDEA nabs drug suspect in Bacoor City for possessing P1.3M shabu

LUCENA CITY – Authorities seized more than P1.3 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) and arrested an alleged big-time trafficker in a buy-bust operation shortly before midnight on Friday, June 20, in Bacoor City, Cavite.

The PDEA–Region 4A said in a report Saturday, June 21, that their agents and Cavite Maritime Police operatives collared “Geoffrey,” 32, in a sting operation in Barangay (village) Mambog 5 around 11:50 p.m.

The suspect was caught in possession of a total of 200 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,360,000.

The PDEA was investigating further to determine the source of the illegal drugs.

The suspect, a resident of the locality, was detained and will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.  /jpv
