Abandoned suitcase in Cavite yields over P200-M shabu

MANILA, Philippines — An abandoned suitcase in Naic, Cavite yielded suspected shabu (crystal meth) valued at around P204 million, the Police Regional Office (PRO) Calabarzon said Friday morning.
The suitcase was found along Friendship Road and contained about 30 heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu weighing a total of 30 kilograms, the regional police said in a statement.
“Based on the initial investigation, a security guard of a vacant lot informed patrolling personnel of the Naic Municipal Police Station about an abandoned green suitcase,” PRO-Calabarzon said.
The seized illegal drugs were turned over to the Cavite Provincial Forensic Unit for a laboratory examination.
