Police Regional Office (PRO) Central Luzon chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo was appointed new head of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Directorate for Comptrollership.

MANILA, Philippines — Police Regional Office (PRO) Central Luzon chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo was appointed new head of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Directorate for Comptrollership.

Her new assignment was issued through Special Order No. NHQ-SO-URA-2025-4293 dated June 19 and effective June 20.

Fajardo, who is the concurrent PNP spokesperson, replaces the current director for comptrollership, Maj. Gen. Neil Buaqueña Alinsañgan, who was assigned to head the Eastern Mindanao Area Police Command in the same order.

The Directorate for Comptrollership is the office tasked to manage the PNP’s financial resources.

Replacing Fajardo as PRO Central Luzon director is Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Ibasco Peñones, who was previously named the PRO Western Visayas director last Wednesday.

Similarly, Brig. Gen. Jerry Villas Protacio was named the new PRO Cagayan Valley director, after being previously assigned to head the Information Technology Management Service, also last Wednesday.

Peñones’ and Protacio’s new assignments were set by General Orders No. 12222 and 12224, respectively, both dated June 19. /jpv
