LPA within PAR has dissipated – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — The low-pressure area (LPA) within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) dissipated on Thursday morning, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“As of 8:00 a.m. today, June 19, 2025, the [LPA] west of La Union has dissipated,” Pagasa said in its latest advisory.

The weather bureau added that no low-pressure area is currently being monitored for potential tropical cyclone formation.
Meanwhile, based on Pagasa’s 5 a.m. weather forecast, generally fair weather conditions are expected to prevail in most parts of the country this Thursday.

Pagasa recently announced that 11 to 19 tropical cyclones are expected to enter or develop within the PAR between now and November 2025.
So far, the country has recorded one tropical depression, locally named “Auring.” It developed off Batanes on the night of June 12 and weakened back into a low-pressure area the following day as it exited PAR./mcm
