At a briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro was asked whether Marcos would go through the same procedures as Duterte if he ever faced an impeachment trial.

“That is in the hands of the House of Representatives, and we should not compare the situation of the Vice President to that of the President—first of all, it seems that our President did not spend 125 million pesos in just 11 days,” Castro said.
“Secondly, the President is doing his job properly and is accounting in accordance with the law.”
Castro also stressed that the Office of the President has never received a Notice of Disallowance related to confidential funds. She also asserted that there were no reported questionable disbursements involving said funds.
“So, whatever happens regarding the so-called impeachment, it is up to the House of Representatives. The President has no hand in whatever happens to her.”
The impeachment complaint against Marcos was initiated by former party-list Rep. Ronald Cardema and his wife, Duceille Marie Cardema, for allegedly allowing the “illegal arrest and transfer” of former President Rodrigo Duterte.
They, however, failed to submit the complaint, as the House Secretary General was holding a strategic planning session at the time.
