Palace declares June 24 special holiday in San Juan City

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has declared Tuesday, June 24, 2025, a special non-working day in San Juan City in celebration of the Wattah! Wattah! Festival.

This was announced through Proclamation No. 929, signed on June 13 and uploaded to the Official Gazette on Tuesday.

“WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of San Juan be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration,” it read.

“NOW, THEREFORE, I, LUCAS P. BERSAMIN, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Tuesday, 24 June 2025, a special (non-working) day in the City of San Juan,” the proclamation also read.
