P10.2M shabu seized in Camarines Norte buy-bust
LEGAZPI CITY, ALBAY, Philippines — Authorities arrested a bigtime drug suspect and recovered P10.2 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation on Monday, June 9, in Daet town in Camarines Norte.
Brigadier General Andre Perez Dizon, Bicol police chief, said in a report on Tuesday, June 10, that the 58-year-old suspect identified as “Ed” was arrested with 1.5 kilograms of shabu in Barangay (village) Lag-on at around 9:45 p.m.
Dizon said the suspect, a resident of Ermita, Manila, was tagged as a high-value individual involved in the distribution of illegal drugs in the region.

He had been operating in different provinces, delivering large quantities of illegal drugs under the guise of legitimate business, Dizon added.
He is under the custody of the Daet police and facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Authorities were conducting further investigation to trace the suspect’s network and identify his suppliers and possible accomplices.
