MANILA, Philippines — The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has mobilized 5,344 police personnel across Metro Manila in preparation for Oplan Balik-Eskwela, as the 2025–2026 school year begins on June 16.
According to Regional Director Police Major General Anthony Aberin, the NCRPO will monitor 1,206 public and private schools in Metro Manila to ensure a “comprehensive, coordinated, and visible police presence.”
“We want to reassure the students, their parents, and our educators that NCRPO will be there to ensure safety and security,” he added.
As part of the operation, 1,429 police personnel will man police assistance desks in campus hotspots. They will be supported by the Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit, covert teams, and EOD/K9 units to ensure rapid emergency response and the detection of criminal activity.
Moreover, 1,135 mobile patrol units and 1,731 foot patrol officers will be deployed across Metro Manila’s five police districts to ensure 24/7 visibility in school zones and other high-traffic areas.
Aberin said the Southern Police District will field the largest number of personnel, with 1,612 officers, followed by the Northern Police District with 1,240, and the Manila Police District with 955.
