Dolphins, Bikers make semis

THE CEBU Dolphins and the Dumaguete Uni-Bikers completed a sweep of their games over the weekend to snatch the two semifinal berths in the Baseball Philippines Series 9 at the Parade Grounds of the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.

Dumaguete blanked three-time defending champion Manila, 6-0, while Cebu trounced Batangas, 16-4.

With their victories, their ninth against three defeats, the Uni-bikers and the Dolphins closed in on the twice-to-beat edges in the semis as they moved two games ahead of the Sharks heading to the final stretch of the eliminations. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
