MANILA, Philippines—Former Chief Justice Renato Corona returned to the Supreme Court for the last time Monday to pack up his belongings.

Corona, found guilty last week by the Senate acting as impeachment court, was accompanied by his wife Cristina and daughter Carla.

Employees from various departments of the high tribunal trooped to his office to bid goodbye, arriving by batches.

Deputy Court Administrator Antonio Eugenio said Corona and his family were halted from their packing by a stream of court employees wanting to see the ousted SC leader.

A court employee said, “We will miss him. He’s very nice even to us lowly employees.” They brought t-shirts and photos for the Chief Justice to autograph.

Associate Justices Teresita Leonardo De Castro, Presbitero Velasco, Lucas Bersamin, Jose Perez and Bienvenido Reyes visited Corona at his office.
