/ 03:42 PM June 04, 2012

MANILA, Philippines -The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will implement strict rules on its anti-colorum (public utility vehicles operating illegally) and no overloading policies for drivers of school services.

Lawyer Teofilo Guadiz III, LTO regional director for NCR, said he has deployed his personnel to monitor those who violate these rules. He said corresponding penalties would be awarded to violators.

For the first offense, Guadiz said drivers would be given the following penalties: a fine of P2,000, three months suspension of license, car impounding, and removal of car plate.
