2,000 Central Luzon cops deployed as night patrollers to deter crime

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has deployed around 2,000 policemen to patrol nighttime places of convergence across various parts of Central Luzon.

In a statement on Friday, the PRO3 said the deployment of night patrollers began on Wednesday to deter crimes that typically occur at night, especially in areas where large numbers of people gather.

PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said the night patrollers are part of the national police’s broader campaign to maintain peace and order.

She said the patrollers come from maneuver forces within police provincial offices and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion./mcm
