MANILA, Philippines — The number of traffic violations recorded on the fourth day of the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) since its reimplementation on Monday slightly rose to 858, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported on Friday.

In a Viber message, the MMDA said 858 violations were recorded from 12:01 a.m. on Thursday to 12:01 a.m. on Friday.

This was higher than the 797 offenses lodged on Wednesday, the agency said.

The 858 violations on Thursday were low compared to the recorded number of offenses on the first two days of reimplementation: 1,112 on Monday and 952 on Tuesday.

The offenses under NCAP were mostly for ignoring traffic signs, violating bus lanes, and illegal loading and unloading, the MMDA said.
