Protests held at DepEd against K to 12 program

MANILA, Philippines – Militant groups staged protest on Monday outside the Department of Education’s office in Pasig City against the K to 12 program, which was implemented for the first time in the country , police said.

Pasig City police said the group carrying placards with words “K to 12 ipatigil,” staged protest in front of the DepEd office along Meralco Avenue, Pasig City at around 11:40 a.m.

Radio reports identified the group as the League of Filipino students.
