P788,000 shabu seized from 2 traffickers in Cavite, Rizal
LUCENA CITY — Two suspected big-time drug traffickers were arrested on Saturday, May 24, and yielded more than P788,00 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations in Cavite and Rizal provinces.
In a report on Sunday, the Police Regional Office 4A (PRO-4A) said that anti-narcotics operatives in Bacoor City, Cavite held “Andrew” at 11:42 p.m. after he allegedly sold P1,000 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer in a transaction in Barangay (village) Aniban 1.
The suspect was caught in alleged possession of three sealed plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 75 grams and valued at about P510,000, based on the Dangerous Drugs Board’s assessment.
The suspect’s mobile phone was also confiscated and will be examined for possible drug-related records.
Andrew is on the police drug watch list as a high-value individual in the drug trade. HVI refers to financiers, traffickers, manufacturers, and importers of illegal drugs or leaders/members of drug groups.

In Antipolo City, Rizal, the police drug enforcement unit nabbed “Noy” in Barangay Santa Cruz around 5:30 a.m.
The suspect, also classified as an HVI, yielded three plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 41 grams, worth P278,800.
Bacoor City and Antipolo City police are conducting further investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs peddled by the suspects.
Both suspects are under police custody and are facing criminal charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /das
