Palace: Theresa Lazaro will be DFA sec; Enrique Manalo will be PH rep to UN

MANILA, Philippines — The new Foreign Affairs secretary will be current Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Ma. Theresa Lazaro.

The announcement was made by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin in a press conference on Friday.

Meanwhile, current Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo will be the next Philippine Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

This is in line with the upcoming retirement of Antonio Manuel Lagdameo, who is presently holding the post in the international body.

Lagdameo’s retirement will be effective on July 31./apl
