Marikina reports attempted theft, forced entry at senior citizens office

MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Marikina on Monday reported an attempted theft and forced entry at its Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (Osca) building.

In a statement, Marikina Mayor Maan Teodoro said the break-in disrupted Osca’s services.

“We regret to inform you that a forced entry and attempted theft occurred at our District Office located in the Osca Building,” Teodoro said in a statement.

“As a result, some of our services may experience temporary delays. We sincerely ask for your understanding for any inconvenience this may cause,” she added.

She also assured the public that necessary steps are now being undertaken to restore Osca’s normal operations.
