₱556,000 worth of shabu, firearm seized in Cavite, Rizal, Laguna

LUCENA CITY, Philippines — Authorities seized more than ₱556,000 worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) and an unlicensed firearm in separate operations across Cavite, Rizal, and Laguna provinces on Saturday, May 17, police said.
In a report released Sunday, the Calabarzon Police Regional Office (PRO 4A) said anti-drug operatives in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, arrested three suspects identified only as Rizalito, Rommel, and Angel, around 8 p.m. after selling ₱500 worth of shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay San Agustin 3.
The suspects yielded five sealed plastic sachets containing 64.04 grams of suspected shabu, with about ₱435,472 in the street market.

Police said Rizalito is classified as a high-value individual (HVI).
In Taytay, Rizal, police responding to an illegal coin-toss gambling game arrested eight individuals at 11:45 p.m. in Barangay Dolores. Two of them — Allan and Dhoy — were allegedly found in possession of four sachets of suspected shabu weighing 16 grams, valued at ₱108,800.
Allan was also tagged as an HVI, while Dhoy was listed as a street-level drug suspect.
Meanwhile, in Biñan City, Laguna, police arrested a man identified only as Darius at 4:35 a.m. after he sold an unlicensed .38-caliber revolver with three bullets for ₱2,000 to a police poseur buyer in Barangay Malaban.
Authorities also recovered three sachets of suspected shabu worth ₱12,240 from Darius, who was also listed as a street-level drug pusher.
All suspects are in police custody and face appropriate criminal charges. /lzb
