MANILA, Philippines — Police confiscated P300,000 worth of unregistered “slimming coffee” in an operation in Manila, arresting four individuals for allegedly selling the product.
The “slimming coffee” allegedly did not have the required certificate of product registration with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), a violation of Republic Act 9711, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) said in a statement on Saturday.

The operation took place on Friday at a warehouse building in Binondo, the CIDG said.
Authorities seized 20 master boxes of the “slimming coffee,” according to the police.
The suspects were only identified as “Janice,” “Joey,” “Camille,” and “Meldy.”Meldy.” /cb
