But Vice Mayor Joy Augustus Young and the rest of the opposition council were unimpressed with Mayor Michael Rama’s State of the City Address (Soca).
Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia lauded the mayor for achieving a lot in his first year of office and his call for political unity between Cebu City and the province.
“Well, that’s his style. He may have stated some facts but it’s not a question of who has done it but it’s a question of whether it was really done or not,” Vice Mayor Young said.
He said he wasn’t convinced by Rama’s call for the council to help resolve the 93-1 lot and other disputes with the Capitol.
Governor Garcia said Rama’s call to set aside differences would make many Cebuanos happy.
