Pagasa forecasts thunderstorms, rains over NCR, parts of Luzon

Thunderstorms, rains over NCR and some Luzon areas - Pagasa

Thunderstorms will develop and prevail over some Luzon areas on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

MANILA, Philippines — Thunderstorms are expected to develop and prevail over certain Luzon areas on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Based on Pagasa’s 3:40 p.m. advisory, Tarlac, Laguna, Cavite, and Batangas will have moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds within the next two hours.

Meanwhile, below is the list of areas currently experiencing heavy to intense rainfall and thunderstorms:

  • Metro Manila (Caloocan, Quezon City, Marikina, San Juan)
  • Bulacan (San Jose del Monte, Meycauayan, Marilao, Norzagaray, Santa Maria, Pandi, Bustos, Plaridel, Angat)
  • Rizal(Rodriguez, San Mateo, Antipolo)
  • Nueva Ecija(Carranglan)
  • Zambales (Santa Cruz, Candelaria, Botolan, San Marcelino, Cabangan, San Felipe)
  • Pampanga (Porac)
  • Quezon(Atimonan, Padre Burgos)

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards, which include flash floods and landslides,” the state weather bureau said.
