6 injured in multi-vehicular accident at Edsa-Quezon Ave. tunnel

MANILA, Philippines — At least six were injured in a multi-vehicular accident at the Edsa-Quezon Avenue tunnel in Quezon City, said authorities on Wednesday.

According to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), the accident occured at around 5:40 a.m. involving several vehicles, including a QCPD car.

No casualties apart from the injuries were recorded.

“The six injured, including a police officer, were immediately rushed to various hospitals for medical attention. Fortunately, none of them sustained serious injuries,” said the QCPD.

Meanwhile, the QCPD said the driver of a bus involved in the incident is currently in the custody of police while investigation is ongoing.

The QCPD then assured the public of due process, even if one of its police officers was involved in the accident. / MR
