80 men arrested in Lanao del Sur town for rowdy acts

PUALAS, LANAO DEL SUR – Police and military authorities have arrested some 80 men here on Monday afternoon after displaying rowdy behavior amid the ongoing voting process.
The men were throwing stones at each other that potentially disrupt the balloting exercise at the Pualas National High School.
The men were rounded up and first made to lie face down on the grassy field.

Their hands were then bound with cable tie in the process of being arrested and then brought to the municipal police station for further questioning and detention.
Tensions are high in the town but the large presence of government security forces have prevented the slide to violence and disruptive behaviors.
Pualas is among 21 towns in Lanao del Sur declared as an election hotspot.
