Journalist’s vehicle torched in Camiguin

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The personal vehicle of journalist Manny Jaudian was torched by unidentified suspects in Sagay town, Camiguin province on Saturday.

Jaudian told the Inquirer the incident happened at around 2 a.m.

“The fire personnel and I found a plastic container and a makeshift torch for ignition emitting flammable vapor/odor,” Jaudian said in a text message.

He added that they have already submitted these items for laboratory examination.

Jaudian, who is past president of Cagayan de Oro Press Club, has a news podcast titled “Kalandrakas” with Mindanao Daily News, a media outfit based here. His vehicle prominently carried such markings./das
