SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — A delivery truck driver and his assistant suffered minor injuries after their vehicle nearly plunged off Maculcol Bridge in San Felipe town around 7 p.m. on Monday, May 5.

In a phone interview on Tuesday, Police Executive Master Sergeant Edison Rillon, the assigned investigator, said the truck was traveling from Sta. Cruz, Zambales to Pampanga for a delivery run when the accident occurred.

According to the driver, he lost control of the steering wheel as the vehicle approached the bridge, citing slippery road conditions that caused the truck to wobble. The vehicle struck the side mirror of a passenger bus before crashing into the bridge’s concrete railing, leaving its front portion hanging dangerously over the edge.
