2 alleged drug suspects gunned down in Cavite
LUCENA CITY — Two alleged drug suspects were shot and killed on Monday, May 5, by an unidentified motorcycle-riding assailant in General Trias City, Cavite, police said.
In a report on Tuesday, May 6, the Region 4A police identified the victims only as “Alberto” and “Catherine.” The two were reportedly riding a motorcycle when their path was blocked by a male motorcyclist in Barangay San Francisco around 2:45 p.m.

The suspect then pulled out a handgun and repeatedly shot the victims in various parts of their bodies, according to the report.
The shooter fled the scene after the attack, leaving both victims dead on the spot.
Police described the assailant as wearing an orange T-shirt with the letter “P” printed on it, white shorts, and a blue cap.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the motive behind the killing.
Initial findings indicated that the victims may have been involved in the illegal drug trade, based on recorded conversations found on their mobile phones via Facebook Messenger.

A manhunt has been launched to apprehend the suspect.
