Dangerous heat index expected in 15 areas on May 5

MANILA, Philippines — Fifteen areas in the country are expected to experience a “danger level” heat index on Monday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Infanta in Quezon is forecast to hit the highest heat index at 45°C, Pagasa said.

In its latest bulletin, the state weather service also reported that its monitoring stations in the following areas forecast a 44°C heat index:
