Dolphins vs Tigers
THE CEBU Dolphins battle with the Alabang Tigers while co-leader Dumaguete faces off with Taguig in the Baseball Philippines Series 9 today at the Parade Grounds of the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.
The Dolphins and the Uni-bikers pace the field with 7-3 (win-loss) slates and will go all out against the Tigers (4-6) and the Patriots (3-7), respectively.
The Manila Sharks, toting a 6-4 card, face the Batangas Bulls (3-7) at 9 a.m.
The six teams return at 1 p.m. with Cebu facing Batangas and Dumaguete going up against the three-time defending champions Sharks. Alabang and Taguig clash in the third match.
A sweep of their matches today will move Dumaguete and Cebu to at least a two-game lead over Manila in the race for twice-to-beat advantages in the semifinals of the league. /Correspondent Jonas PAnerio
