PNP nabs 2, seizes P74.8-M shabu in Caloocan City buy-bust ops

MANILA, Philippines — Suspected shabu worth P74.8 million was confiscated and two suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City, the Philippine National Police (PNP) announced on Tuesday.
The drug sting took place in Barangay Amparo on Sunday evening, the PNP said in a statement.
Eleven plastic tea bags containing the suspected shabu weighing 11 kilograms were seized during the operation, according to the police.
The suspects were identified as a 24-year-old male from Quiapo, Manila; and a 25-year-old male from Tamparan, Lanao del Sur.

The arrested individuals were taken under the custody of the Caloocan City police’s Amparo substation, awaiting charges for allegedly violating the Dangerous Drugs Act, the PNP detailed.
