LPA seen outside PAR but low chance of becoming tropical depression
MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area with low chances of developing into a tropical depression was monitored outside of the Philippine area of responsibility on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
“As of 2 p.m. today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA 04a) is being monitored outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has a LOW chance of development into a Tropical Depression within the next 24 hours,” the state weather bureau said in a Facebook post.
Meanwhile, in its 4 p.m. bulletin, Pagasa said that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and easterlies were forecast to bring overcast skies with rains all over the country from afternoon to evening.

The state weather bureau warned of cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Mindanao and Palawan due to the ITCZ.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, were forecast to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated showers or thunderstorms brought by easterlies.
Pagasa cautioned the residents in low-lying areas against possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.
