LUCENA CITY — Eight suspected drug pushers were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Cavite and Rizal provinces on April 23 and 24, yielding over P938,000 worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth), police said.
In a report Thursday, the Police Regional Office 4A said three suspects — identified by their aliases “Gary,” “Jabar,” and “Jalil” — were arrested in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, after selling P500 worth of shabu to an undercover officer in Barangay Datu Esmael at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Authorities confiscated six plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 53 grams, worth about P360,400.
Gary and Jabar are listed as “high-value individuals” (HVIs) on the police drug watch list, while Jalil is classified as a street-level pusher.
In Rodriguez, Rizal, police arrested three suspects — “Yecon,” “Chris,” and “Chelsea” — in Barangay San Jose around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday. All three are considered street-level pushers.
Nine sachets of suspected methamphetamine weighing 25 grams valued at P170,000 were recovered.
In Antipolo City, another HVI suspect, “Marco,” was arrested in Barangay Dela Paz at 8:35 p.m. Wednesday. He allegedly yielded seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P170,000.
The same police team arrested another HVI, “Suzette,” in Barangay Mambugan at 1:30 a.m. Thursday. She was caught with nine sachets of suspected meth weighing 35 grams worth P238,000.
Authorities also seized three mobile phones in the operations across Cavite and Rizal. The devices will be subjected to digital forensic examination for possible drug transaction records.
All suspects remain in police custody and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
