The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) says a magnitude 6.3 earthquake occurred at around 6:17 p.m. roughly 295 kilometers southeast of Sarangani Island in Sarangani town, Davao Occidental on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 6.3 earthquake rocked the waters off Davao Occidental on Tuesday evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

According to the agency’s bulletin, the quake occurred at 6:17 p.m. roughly 295 kilometers southeast of Sarangani Island in Sarangani town, Davao Occidental.
