MANILA, Philippines — Hot and humid weather awaits Filipinos on Good Friday, the state weather bureau said, warning the public against continued sun exposure, especially at noon.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Grace Castañeda, in a public forecast on Friday, said easterlies — or the warm and humid winds from the Pacific Ocean — are affecting the entire country.

(Here in Luzon, including Metro Manila, we would continue to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies. Dwellers in the area may expect hot and humid weather.)
(Meanwhile, here in Visayas and Mindanao today, the entire Visayas and Mindanao, including Palawan, would also experience cloudy skies.)
With this, she warned the public, particularly against continued sun exposure, advising people to use sun protection.
“In the next two days, patuloy pa ring ganitong panahon ang ating mararanasan kung saan mainit pa rin lalong lalo na sa tanghali,” she said.
(In the next two days, this weather would continue, where it would particularly be hot, especially at noon.)
Although hot and humid weather would prevail, Castañeda said they are also not ruling out the possibility of isolated rains in the afternoon or evening due to the easterlies.
Currently, the state weather bureau is not monitoring a low-pressure area or any weather disturbance that could affect the country.
