Manila Water ensures 24/7 service, shares safety tips for Holy Week
Manila Water remains committed to providing uninterrupted water service to its 7.7 million customers in the East Zone of Metro Manila and Rizal, especially during the Holy Week to help ensure that families can savor a solemn and restful time together without any concerns about their water supply.
“We understand the importance of Holy Week for many of our customers, and we want to make sure they have a peaceful and meaningful time with their families,” Manila Water Communication Affairs Group Director Jeric Sevilla said.
“Our operations team is working around the clock to ensure that water service remains uninterrupted throughout this period,” he added.
In addition to ensuring 24/7 water service, Manila Water encourages all customers to follow these #WaterWais tips to avoid water wastage before embarking on an extended out-of-town trip.
Ahead of your trip, thoroughly inspect all faucets, toilets, and pipes for any leaks and ensure they are fixed. If you have an automatic sprinkler system, consider setting it to water less frequently or turning it off completely.
Installing faucet aerators and low-flow showerheads can significantly reduce water usage.
Disconnect washing machines and dishwashers to avoid accidental water use.
Lastly, shut off the main water valve right before leaving to ensure peace of mind during your absence.
Manila Water also reminds its customers to stay hydrated during the Holy Week, as temperatures are expected to soar during this time.
To prevent heatstroke, it is essential to drink plenty of fluids, especially water, throughout the day. Avoid sugary and caffeinated beverages.
Wear loose and lightweight clothing. Protect yourself from the sun by using sunscreen and wearing a hat. Try to stay in indoors or in air-conditioned areas during the hottest parts of the day. By following these steps, you can expect a safe and healthy Holy Week for you and your family.
Manila Water wishes everyone a safe, reflective, and peaceful week ahead!
