Aftershocks loom after magnitude 5.3 quake off Sarangani

MANILA, Philippines — Aftershocks are expected from the magnitude 5.3 earthquake that struck off Sarangani on early Wednesday morning.
This warning comes from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs also said the tremor is not expected to result in damage to properties.

The epicenter of the quake was located west of Sarangani at 3:25 a.m.
It was tectonic in origin and it had a depth of 10 kilometers.
No details on the recorded intensities have been issued as of this writing.
