DPWH: No let-up in road repair work this weekend

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will continue with their road improvement and maintenance works over the weekend even as a Tropical Depression “Ambo” threatens to dump rains to some parts of the country.

DPWH-National Capital Region (NCR) advised motorists in a statement Friday to avoid the following areas from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday:

A.H. Lacson St., Sampaloc, Manila from España Blvd. to Piy Margal; and Legarda St., Sampaloc, Manila, from Estero Alix to J. Figueras St. both under the supervision of North Manila District Engineer Rogelio S. Crespo, with Tel no. 714-0608.

M.H. del Pilar St., Malabon City between San Vicente Village and E. Rodriguez, under supervision of Malabon–Navotas District Engineer Casiano P. De Guzman, with Tel. No. 352-5253.

“Repair and maintenance of these national roads in Metro Manila has been coordinated by the DPWH-NCR with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority,” the DPWH said.
