Bomb threat hits OVP
MANILA, Philippines — A bomb threat hit the Office of the Vice President (OVP) headquarters in Mandaluyong City on Monday afternoon.
“A staff member reported receiving a text message containing a bomb threat,” the OVP said in a statement.
This prompted the evacuation of OVP personnel “to a secured area” of nearby Robinsons Cybergate Plaza.

The bomb threat caused “sudden disruption of its operations”, but the OVP later resumed its normal operations at 4:00 p.m.
Hoax bomb threats can endanger lives and are punishable by law under Presidential Decree No. 1727, also known as the Anti-Bomb Joke Law.
