MANILA, Philippines — The North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) Corporation on Sunday announced the temporary closure of lanes in some areas in the expressway from March 24-28 due to scheduled maintenance works.

For NLEx northbound (going to Bulacan/Pampanga/Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway)
- Bocaue Northbound (before Bocaue Interchange): Lane 3 (middle lane); from March 24, 9 p.m. to March 27, 11:59 p.m.
- San Fernando Northbound (after San Matias River Bridge): Lane 1 (Leftmost lane); from March 24, 8 p.m. to March 25, 5 a.m.
- Bocaue Northbound (after Bocaue Interchange): Acceleration and Deceleration Lane; from March 25, 9 p.m. to March 26, 1 a.m.
- Mabalacat Northbound (after Biyabas Overpass): Lane 1 (Leftmost lane); from March 26, 9 p.m. to March 27, 5 a.m.
- Pulilan Northbound (before Candaba Viaduct): Lane 1 (Leftmost lane); from March 27, 8 p.m. to March 28, 5 a.m.
- San Fernando Northbound (after San Matias River Bridge): Lane 1 (Leftmost lane); from March 27, 9 p.m. to March 28, 5 a.m.
- Balagtas Northbound (after Burol Overpass): Deceleration lane); from March 27, 9 p.m. to March 28, 1 a.m.
NLEx southbound (going to Manila)
- Mexico Southbound (after Akli Overpass): Lane 2 (Rightmose lane); from March 24, 9 p.m. to March 25, 6 a.m.
- Balagtas Southbound (Burol Interchange area): Lanes 1 and 2 (one lane at a time); March 24, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Balagtas Southbound: Lanes 3 and 4 (one lane at a time); March 25, 9 p.m. to 12 p.m.
- Pulilan Southbound (after Candaba Viaduct): Lane 3 (Rightmost lane); from March 25, 9 p.m. to March 26, 5 a.m.
- Mexico Southbound (after Railroad Underpass): Lane 2 (Rightmost lane); from March 25, 9 p.m. to March 26, 6 a.m.
- San Fernando Southbound (after San Fernando Interchange): Lane 3 (Rightmost lane); from March 26, 10 p.m. to March 27, 5 a.m.
- San Fernando Southbound (after San Fernando Interchange): Lane 2 (Middle lane); from March 26, 9 p.m. to March 27, 6 a.m.
- Balagtas Southbound (after Burol Interchange): Lanes 1 and 2 (one at a time); March 26, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The corporation said that lanes will be closed in some portions of the NLEx for marking and patching works from March 24 to 27, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Meanwhile, Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon on Friday asked the NLEx to waive the collection of toll fees affected by the repair work on the Marilao Interchange Bridge.
On Wednesday, the NLEx Corp. reported the emergency closure of lanes 2 and 3 of the bridge after being struck by an 18-wheeler truck. The incident has been causing slow moving traffic along the expressway.
