LUCENA CITY – A suspected robbery gang leader and rapist was arrested by police in Pagbilao, Quezon, on Wednesday afternoon, an official said Thursday.
Superintendent Allen Rae Figuracion Co, head of the Quezon Provincial Public Safety Company (QPPSC), identified the suspect as Gary de Quina, 33, alleged leader of a robbery gang operating in Quezon.
De Quina was also the main suspect in the rape of a teacher at the Quezon National Agricultural School in November last year, Co said in a text message.
He said De Quina did not resisted arrest when cornered by police in his hideout in Barangay Silangan past 1 p.m. De Quina’s group was believed responsible for a series of robberies in Quezon. Delfin T. Mallari Jr., Inquirer Southern Luzon
