2 injured in tank explosion in Valenzuela City

MANILA, Philippines — Two individuals were reportedly hurt in a tank explosion in Valenzuela City on Friday morning, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

The injured were Billy Padojinog, 42, and Jowel Cardaño, 27.

BFP said one firetruck responded to the scene at F. San Diego, Veinte Reales in Valenzuela City around 8:31 a.m.

The explosion was extinguished at 8:41 a.m.

No casualties were reported, BFP added.

As of this writing, no details have been given if the tank was a liquefied petroleum gas or another type of tank.
