MANILA, Philippines–Three people were killed when a vendor opened fire at local enforcers conducting clearing operations in Antipolo City Thursday, police said.

Senior Superintendent Rolando Anduyan, Rizal police director, said local enforcers, similar to that of Manila’s Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, were driving away vendors along Gems Supermarket, Barangay (village) San Roque in Antipolo City at 10:45 a.m. when an unidentified vendor retaliated and fired his gun at the enforcers.
