Intertropical convergence zone to bring rains to Visayas, Mindanao—Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines – Visayas and Mindanao will experience rains due to an intertropical convergence zone affecting the regions, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Friday.

In its latest weather forecast, Pagasa said that Visayas, Mindanao, and the Palawan islands would experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening, Pagasa said.

No other weather disturbances have been monitored as of posting time, the state-run weather bureau said.

“Light to moderate winds blowing from the East to Southeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the Northwest to West over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate,” Pagasa added.
