P2.2M worth of shabu seized from 10 suspects in Calabarzon
LUCENA CITY — Police arrested 10 suspects in anti-illegal drugs operations on Wednesday and Thursday in Rizal, Cavite, Quezon, and Batangas provinces.
The operations yielded more than P2.2 million worth of shabu (crystal meth), the police said.
The Region 4A police reported that anti-illegal drug operatives in Rodriguez, Rizal, arrested “Angie” and “Patrick” at 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday after they sold P1,000 worth of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Burgos.
Seized from the suspects were six plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 150 grams worth P1,020,000.
In Taytay town, also in Rizal, police drug enforcers nabbed “Ranier”, “Sandar”, and “Leon” at 1:50 a.m. Thursday in another drug bust operation in Barangay Sta. Ana.
The three yielded five sachets of meth weighing 50 grams worth P340,000.
In Cavite, anti-illegal drugs operatives in Trece Martirez City arrested “Louie” and “Rod” in a sting operation in Barangay Conchu at 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday.
The suspects, both classified as high-value individuals (HVI), were caught in alleged possession of 69 grams of shabu worth P408,000.
In Lipa City, Batangas, police arrested “Jejet” at 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday in Barangay Bolbok.
The suspect, a street-level pusher, was caught in alleged possession of four sachets of meth weighing 15.12 grams worth P102,816.
In this city, anti-narcotics agents busted “Marvin” and “Niño” in Barangay Ibabang Iyam at 5:24 p.m. on Wednesday, Lieutenant Colonel Dennis de Guzman, city police chief, said in a report.
The suspects were caught with six sachets of shabu weighing 55.50 grams worth P377,400.
Marvin is listed on the police drug watch list as an HVI while Niño is tagged as a street pusher.
All arrested suspects were detained and are facing charges of allegedly violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
