THE Bosconian International Chamber of Commerce Cebu (BICC Cebu Chapter) will hold its fifth general membership meeting on June 6 at 6 p.m. at the Cebu Grand Hotel.
In observance of World Environment Month, the BICC Cebu invited environmental advocate Shiela Castillo-Tiangco to deliver a presentation on climate change.
Tiangco is a graduate of the Philippine Normal University. She is a development consultant and has been working in the environment sector for more than ten years. She specializes in community-based solid waste management.
As Movement of Imaginals for Sustainable Societies through Initiatives, Organizing and Networking (MISSION) co-founder, Tiangco helps in designing training modules and developing project proposals. She is also project manager of the “communicate your cause” design team Projek Samadhi and member of the Solid Waste Association of the Philippines.
Tiangco trained under Nobel Laureate Al Gore to be a certified climate presenter of The Climate Reality Project (TCRP) in Jakarta on January, 2011, and participated in the Asia-Pacific Climate Change Leadership Congress held in Australia on October 2011. She is a mother of two and has been a vegetarian since 1996.
Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) Integrated Development executive director Rowena Alensonorin will present the Run 2 Plant for Greenin Philippines Season II.
The BICC Cebu signed a memorandum of understanding to support RAFI’s Run 2 Plant.
The Bosconian International Chamber of Commerce Cebu is an association of past pupils of Saint John Bosco who are now businessmen, entrepreneurs, corporate executives and professionals.
The association is headed by Ludwig Federigan, president; engineer Emmanuel Paras, vice president for internal affairs; Mithcell Alforque, vice president for external affairs; lawyer Chad Rodolfo Miel, secretary; and Elmer Ventura, treasurer.
